I was tasked with creating MATLAB code that could accurately predict the acceleration performance and fuel economy of any vehicle, given its input parameters.  In this assignment, I also created code for a shifting transmission to obtain better accuracy and optimized the vehicle’s gear ratios for maximum performance.

Below are results from running our acceleration performance and fuel economy simulation compared to published data for a 2007 Toyota 4Runner.  With just a few lines of code, I was able to accurately obtain numbers accurate to the vehicle’s actual specifications.
